BFP- Sept 27 2011

After the dreaded two week wait, I woke up at 5:10 am yesterday morning and I really had to pee.  While I didn't particularily want to be testing so early in the morning, I really wanted my first morning urine for the test since, with irregular periods, I wasn't exactly sure when I had ovulated or when my period was due.  So I tested.  I sat on the toilet seat with my cell phone timer in hand and waited. My heart was absolutely pounding and I could both feel and hear it.  At the two minute mark I told myself, be prepared, it's probably negative, and I walked over to the sink to this....

 My jaw dropped to the floor, my hands were shaking and, my heart was pounding even harder.  I couldn't get my hands steady enough to take a picture for the first little bit.  I just stared and stared the little test, trying to let it sink in, and then told myself I was not going to wake my husband, but would go back to bed and tell him when the alarms went off in another hour or so.  HA! I ran into the bed room and shook him awake saying "oh my god, honey, look, honey wake-up and look at this".  He told me he couldn't see at first, but then it all sunk in.  We laughed like crazy, probably because we just couldn't believe it was real and we were both half asleep, and then I made an early morning run to Shoppers for some prenatals and a Walmart stop for What to Expect When You're Expecting.  It still hasn't totally sunk in yet but I know we're both excited.
